Meet Joselyn Romero, LCSW

Gender affirming therapist in Salt Lake City, UT

Virtual Therapy available throughout Utah

Hi, I’m Joselyn. I help adults navigate gender transitions, explore identity, and heal from trauma so they can feel more at home in themselves and build a life that genuinely feels like their own.

I’m a Trans/Nonbinary, BIPOC therapist and a member of the LGBTQ+ community. This work is personal to me. I bring both clinical expertise and lived experience into the therapy room, and I understand how identity, culture, family expectations, and societal messages can shape the way we see ourselves.

I know what it’s like to live a life that doesn’t feel authentic, to question where you belong, to long for chosen family and community where you can simply be yourself. You may be questioning who you are, navigating a transition, healing from trauma, or realizing that the ways you learned to survive no longer fit the person you’re becoming.

Therapy with me is active, collaborative, and real. We’ll get curious about the different parts of you, unpack old narratives, and understand your patterns and protective responses with compassion rather than judgment.

You don’t have to have yourself figured out before you walk through the door. All parts of you are welcome here.

Inclusive and Affirming Therapy For All

From ADHD therapy to gender-affirming care to mental health evaluations for immigration: We’re ready to support you.

As a BIPOC and transgender-owned practice, our goal is to deconstruct mental health stigmas and bring communities together. While we specialize, our goal is to create services accessible to everyone.

Gender-affirming therapy is just one part of our approach to comprehensive care. We also offer letters for needs like medical treatments and legal documentation. Our letters are crafted to meet all regulatory and legal requirements while supporting your transition and affirming your identity.

With group therapy, ADHD resources and more, Arches Healing and Growth is an excellent choice for anyone who needs a therapist in Salt Lake City or the surrounding areas. We are here to provide support and guidance, rooted in sensitivity and understanding.

Our goal is to meet our clients where they are, whether that’s in-person or telehealth therapy visits. Please contact us if you have questions, need a letter for gender-affirming care, or to book a free consultation. We’re ready to support you with sensitivity and understanding.
