Meet Joselyn Romero

LCSW, Owner

Joselyn (they/she) holds a master’s degree in social work from the University of Utah and has experience working with adolescents and adults. They identify as Nonbinary/transgender and are a member of the LGBTQ+, QTBIPOC and Hispanic community who advocates for reducing stereotypes, prejudice, and stigmas that exist within those communities. Their experience allows her to provide therapeutic services and psychoeducation that is conscious of diverse cultures, beliefs, and values.

Joselyn aims to take a holistic and client centered approach and begins where her clients are at. Joselyn integrates a collaborative approach with her clients in problem solving and rebuilding confidence in tackling life's obstacles. Joselyn believes in creating a partnership with her clients for facilitating healing and growth. A passion of hers is supporting clients in exploring self compassion to develop awareness, self-expression, and self-love.

Joselyn is a Latina, bilingual therapist. They are fluent in Spanish.

They focus on evidence-based practices such as EMDR, IFS, DBT, CBT, attachment and Trauma-Focused practices. They also specialize in Gender affirming care and helping clients navigate neurodivergent diagnoses such as ADHD and Autism. In their spare time, Joselyn enjoys the outdoors, camping and spending time with their two cats Nemo and Simba.
