Meet Sneha Pusapati
Mental Health Therapist, LCSW
Sneha (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Masters degree from Boston College. She has spent most of her life within the immigrant community of Salt Lake City and began her career advocating for first-generation college students at the University of Utah. After graduating from the U of U in 2019, she spent the next few years in Boston working with folks who had developmental disorders, and later as a therapist at a domestic violence shelter for women.
She is passionate about serving marginalized communities, specifically BIPOC folks, Survivors of crime/abuse, LGBTQIA+, and folks living with chronic pain and multiple disabilities. Over the past several years, Sneha has been working with refugees and asylum seekers who are survivors of torture and governmental oppression and is excited to pivot and open up her caseload to a variety of local clients.
Sneha uses a trauma-informed lens and is focused on building a therapeutic collaboration where clients are accepted for who they are and are empowered to work on their personal goals. She understands that many individuals may have barriers to accessing and engaging in mental health care and is willing to be creative in her therapy approach. She uses principles of ACT, CBT, Narrative and Solution-focused therapy, along with humor and psychodrama to drive therapeutic change. She encourages clients to heal through behavioral change, mutual-aid, nature, and holistic practices. Sneha seeks to center compassion, equity, and accountability in her work at Arches and continues to be driven by social justice principles.
Sneha hopes to one day work with underrepresented communities and create collective change through mutual-aid, nature-based programs, and indigenous practices. Outside of therapy, she is a foodie who enjoys being outdoors (when it's not freezing!), live music, and reality television.
Sneha currently accepts UUHP, HMI-BHN out-of-network. Opportunities for sliding scale may be available. To be added to her waitlist, please fill out a form on our Contact page.
