Meet Carolina Taylor

Associate Mental Health Therapist, AMFT

Carolina (she/her) is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. A California native and child of first-generation immigrant parents, she earned her master’s degree from Alliant International University. Carolina brings a lifelong passion for equity and social justice and is excited to serve marginalized communities within Utah.

Carolina is an advocate for individuals living with premenstrual disorders. Her experience is with children and families, and supporting individuals living with ADHD, ASD, depression, and anxiety.

Carolina was trained with an attachment focus and uses Narrative therapy approaches to help clients create empowering stories about themselves and re-author their lives in positive and meaningful ways. She believes in building a therapeutic relationship by creating safe spaces that are validating and empowering and that allow for healing and growth.

Using a trauma-informed lens, Carolina incorporates elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to create therapeutic change.

In her spare time, Carolina enjoys spending time with her family, creating new vegan recipes, and advocating for any creatures who are marginalized or oppressed.
